Countdown to closing on my house? Exactly one week. I don’t think I’m going to sleep until then. I’ll use all that extra awake time to browse the Internet for amazing home furnishings I can’t afford.
Living Room
Kitchen
Bedroom
…and discovering the interior decorating side of Polyvore means there goes any hope of getting something productive done today.
Tell me about (or show me!) an ideal/dream room of yours.
I’ll be back on Monday with the regular food-and-fun offerings of a Slow Cooker Monday! So get ready to join JamieAnne and in our (slow paced) kitchen adventures.

so. stinkin, jealous!! and excited for you
Im all about simplicity when it comes to homes. I love family photos everywhere, and inivative uses for stuff. Anything that makes the place original, but doesnt jump out too much. Its like something that you go, holy crap thats cool, I didnt even notice it!! Thats what Im all about
Whoaaaaaa that green bowl with the kitchen stuff is radical!! It looks like a droplet of water!
My dream room would probably resemble something out of an anthropologie magazine
I’m in love with the bowl too–but I’m not even going to post how much it costs, haha. And everything Anthropologie makes for the home is fabulous…I don’t even dare go to their website, I’ll want it all!
Yay, I’m super excited for you!! This may be strange… but I kinda miss having bunk beds in my room haha!
I totally miss my bunkbeds too! It was like having my own personal fort when I was a kid.
That’s great news! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for you.
LOVE those colors for the kitchen, btw.
Love the purple bedroom theme!
Glad the closing is almost here…how exciting!
Eek! So exciting, bet you can’t wait… and yep, I’m so bad for the home furnishings too; I’ll spend more time in the home section that I do looking at clothes and almost have to physically restrain myself from spending money!
My ideal room would be a farmhouse-type kitchen, with beams, stone floor and maybe an Aga oven, with big windows to let the sun in… and maybe a sofa in there too
Yeah, I can pass on clothes shopping any day of the week–but home stuff is so much fun to shop for! And a sofa in a kitchen? That would be amazing–I’d never leave!
It’s so much fun to shop for things you can’t afford! Now you just have to get on Pinterest and lose your soul even more. You find so many great ideas!
I’m so scared to try out pinterest, haha, I’m actively avoiding it ’cause I know I’ll get trapped.
Y’know, I actually spend way less time on there than I expected. I actually post more stuff than I surf around. I was pleasantly surprised.
you and me both, girl friend. I have been trying not to look too much until we get the response to our inspection response… but I was looking at a beautiful rustic table for photography… *sigh*
YAY, it’s getting so close for you! can’t wait to follow along!
I hope you got the response you wanted! And that table sounds ideal. Good luck with trying not to look too much, haha–it’s so addictive once you get started!
Can I come and live with you when you’ve moved?? We have such similar taste in decoration and I just know we’d make the best housemates!
But seriously though, I am so excited for you!! I hope it all goes well! Have a brilliant weekend lovely
I will be looking for a roommate, in case you fancy a move to the states ;D
And thanks for the good wishes! Less than a week now–eek!
That kitchen is awesome: so much color and natural light! Hope you manage to find some inspiration online- scoped Pinterest yet? We are currently renovating our home and while it’s one big dusty mess, I am excited to get experimental with furnishing and layouts!
I’m scared I’ll get hooked by Pinterest, haha. I already have too many things on-line that hold my attention! And oh, I hope we get to see pictures of this renovation!
Loving the bedroom one – purple is awesome
I love that bedroom palette! I am constantly browsing furniture I can’t afford but love when I find something similar for a lot cheaper!
You found some really beautiful things!!!!
