Thanks to everyone for the support, advice and commiseration yesterday! I’m already moving forward with my month of outward-self improvement.
A much needed step? The hair.
1+ inches of roots plus a nasty yellow tinge from where the blue washed out? (Yes, the blue from…months…ago.)
To straight platinum blonde. Maybe I’ll get a haircut next.
I also bought facial cleanser. Adults wash their faces, right? This stuff feels/smells good. I’ve started a beauty/skincare regimen, fancy that!
And in case you think I might be too adult these days, I ended my self-improvement with a good round of…vegan pigs in a blanket.
With extra ketchup and mustard, of course.

I love that carrot face wash!!!! It feels so amazing
And your hair is killer awesome, you totally pull it off!
The platinum blonde is AWESOME! It’s so flattering on you
I miss dying my hair a bazillion shades of red.
I love the Yes line of products. I use their Yes to Tomatoes to spot treat zits, and it works really well without being too chemical-y. The hair looks really cute too!
I didn’t know they had a spot treatment, I only saw this and a cucumber product from them…and this was on closeout, haha. I’ll have to look for that, I could definitely use some zit-zapping products, and I’m loving this wash so far.
love the platinum! good to know about that product – I’ve been eyeing it for a bit.
pigs in blankets win!
Thanks! And I’d definitely recommend it–smells good, works well, doesn’t overdry but still gets your face clean.
And yes. Yes they do. And they just might be on the menu for dinner again tonight
I mean, I have leftover ingredients, I might as well, right?
What a diva with platinum blonde hair! Love it!
Hmm, “diva,” I think I can live with that
Thanks!
Oh my gosh I LOVE your hair! I could never ever pull of blonde hair. You look AMAZING!
Thanks Liz! I’d rocked platinum years ago, so I was hoping I could still pull it off (and figured it would be super easy to fix if not).
You look so cute, Allie!! Ralph always laughs when I talk about you and refer to you as Leelo from Fifth Element. Then when I told him you had blue hair now, he was confused. Now you’re blonde. He’ll never get you straight now!! MMM…vegan pig in a blanket…sounds yummy to me!
Haha, I promise my intention wasn’t to cause confusion! And oh yes, they are very VERY yummy, and only take two ingredients if you make them the lazy way (which, of course, I do).
I am loving the new look Allie! I could never pull it off, but I mean it when I say that you totally and completely do
Girl your hair looks fantastic!! i really love it
mmm vegan pigs in a blanket! can’t get better than that
Love that facial cleanser line of products.
If anyone could pull of platinum blonde, it’s you….you’re looking really great, Allie
! I always found the name ‘pigs in a blanket’ so wrong but with vegan thrown in, it actually sounds so much more appealing haha! Have a great weekend!
Have fun changing your hair color! The yes range of products is great!
Ooh, I’m loving the blonde look! Gorgeous… and the pigs in blankets look good too… I was wondering the other day if it’s really bad just how much ketchup I get through, considering I’m (supposed to be) an adult – but lycopene’s good for you isn’t it, so it really counts as a superfood…
Yay for getting it together! I love your hair! No way I could do that
I’ll have to look for that face wash …
I love your new hair! It looks fantastic and you can definitely pull it off
It’s so striking! I’m going to have to hunt for that brand of skincare, do you know if it’s available in the UK?
