We Need to Talk about Kevin, by Lionel Shriver

A fictional story of a high school shooter. This book consists of letters the mother is writing, as she tries to cope with what her son has done and what her life has become. This book was great. It is powerful and explores parenthood and childhood. I want to know how an actual parent would interpret this book so am lending it to my mom (despite her dislike of gory/extreme writing). This is a book I would recommend to most anyone. Despite little actually happening for the majority of the story, you can’t put it down.
