A Happy Halloween to all my lovely readers!
A Happy Halloween from the nerd-favorite second-place-winning-in-a-costume-competition Leeloo Dallas (from the move The Fifth Element).
And A Happy Halloween from the work-appropriate (and homemade!) Frog.
What was/is your costume this year?
Tomorrow I’ll be back to some regularly scheduled food posts.
You’re awesome for dressing up as Leeloo! And I’m so impressed that you made the frog costume. I didn’t have my act together this year, and didn’t make a costume. Oh well, I still had a fun Halloween weekend.
Costumes make things better, but yeah, Halloween is fabulous regardless–glad you had a good one π
You’re an adorable frog! I heart that costume and actually I’m trying to come up with reasons why you need to make me one and mail it to me. π
Love the Leeloo costume.
I was a Stepford wife, for the party on Saturday. I’ll be a spider queen for the trick or treaters tonight. π
I want to see these costumes! And, of course, I would LOVE to make you a frog (or other animal) hood-hat! But only if you promise to slow-cook in it, haha π E-mail me some details about what you want, and I will get right on it!
ha! Will do! π I could see cooking in a homemade hat! I’ve got a few party pictures and I’ll be posting them. π
This hat is awesomesauce.

That baby’s face is mildly scaring me…
But YES, that is an amazing hat!
Yes, the baby seems too young to model.
The hat is super cute though.
Loving your outfit- so cute π
Thanks!
Lovin both your costumes =)
I am a witch this year!
Happy Halloween!!
Thank you! Love witch costumes, such a Halloween classic π
I LOVE that movie and that character. You did a great job on your costume…Big Ba Da Boom! Happy Halloween!
I’d wanted to be Leeloo for ages, definitely a fan of the movie too π And thank you!
How fun! You look fabulous!!! I’m horrible at dressing up and admire all those that are sooo creative!!
I spend way too much time obsessing over/assembling costumes each year, it’s too much fun π
Awesome costume. I went as an office worker. Black dress, black heels … oh wait. I just went to work π¦
Aww, no fun π¦ Glad i have such an awesome office…my company was the only one in the entire building to dress up, makes hallways a little awkward–in a good way
No one in my office dressed up or even acknowledged it was Halloween!!
LOVE the costumes!
Thank you!
That frog’s possibly the best thing I’ve ever seen, I love it! It goes really well with your red hair too; I’d love to go red again… and you look gorgeous in the Leeloo Dallas picture π
Thanks so much for all the compliments! And you should go red (you know, if it’s work approved and all), I’ve been every color of the rainbow and this is by far the most fun.
Did you really make that? So impressed. I am a knitter dropout, but I still appreciate others work, so cute.
I love both knitting and crocheting, they are the best fall/winter activities–although I think all my family members are tired of getting scarves for Christmas π
Ha yess fantastic costumes! The frog is great… creative which is when I appreciate Halloween costumes more π
Thanks! I love making my own costumes, it definitely does feel more creative. Plus I love any crafting project π
Fantastic movie. I’m halfway in love with Bruce Willis, even though he’s an unwashed-looking unattractive geezer. But yeah, there’s love there all the same.
Can I just take a minute to swoon over your frog hat? Do you sell those? Because I might need to buy one.
$40 and you can have one all of your own, custom-made π E-mail me if you’re interested (allieelyse@gmail.com)!
And Fifth Element Bruce Willis? Yeah, I’d go for that. Okay, I’d go for Sin City Bruce Willis too…
I loved him best of all in 12 Monkeys. Best movie ever. I emailed you re: frog hats.
Weee π I love that frog costume! So impressed that you made it yourself!
happy Halloween π
Thanks! I don’t always have success making up my own crochet patterns, but I love how this turned out…
And now I want to watch Fifth Element. I love that movie. You rocked that costume. Happy Halloween!
Thanks! And you definitely need to re-watch, it somehow never gets old.
I just totally watched Fifth Element a couple week ago – you were definitely deserving of 1st place in my opinion! Love the frog get up too =)
Thanks! I got beat out by a pretty amazing Johnny Depp-Mad Hatter, though, would have been hard to top the dude who won.
Your costumes rock. You DEFINITELY win best nerd. EVER!
