Exodus, by Julie Bertagna

The oceans have risen and the world is reduced to drowning islands and floating cities. One young woman sets out to save her village and learn about her world.

This book is a fun young adult adventure. The pacing is a little bit off, and you tend to lurch about in the action, but the overall story is a great end-of-humanity-or-is-it adventure. Bertagna writes about a creative but still believable enough future world, and I enjoyed exploring it. This is quite obviously the first in a series, as it sets you up for the next book rather than coming to its own conclusion, but I still recommend it for anyone looking for a quick adventure through a grim but hope-filled future.
