My weekend involved lots of house painting, playing with electrical sockets and discovering an amazing Ethiopian restaurant just minutes from my house. My weekend didn’t involve coming up with something clever for a post, so I’m snagging a Five Things Monday from Emily.
If you haven’t had Ethiopian food, you’re missing out! Amazing sponge-y sourdough injera is just the beginning.

Five places I want to visit where I’ve never been– Egypt, Hawaii, New Zealand, Kenya, and Italy!
Hope you have a rockin Monday!
I’ve never tried Ethiopian food but dang that bread doesn’t look like it could be any further up my alley! Those air bubbles…ugh I’m drooling!
I should think about this and do a Five for Monday after I’ve figured it out!!
Fun! I’ve never had Ethiopian food, so I definitely am missing out!
Ethiopian food is totally awesome. We’ve been eating it a ton lately.
Oohhh man, Thailand. I hope it works out! We’re trying to head there next year, too! Next year is Thailand and the year after that is Brazil for the World Cup!
Avacado and popcorn for lunch, interesting!
You had better believe that ketchup is a real food.. forever and always π
Five things I do everyday- drink too much coffee, sit on my butt in front of my laptop, wake up early and read blogs, go to class! Boring haha
I almost studied abroad in Morocco. I’d LOVE to go there. Five things I did today:

2. Got new ski goggles (just in time for uhhhh, next season)
3. Drove my new car.
4. Walked my dog!
5. Did homework.
Dude, avocado is one of my favorite foods too!!! I Swear it could go on ANYTHING! haha
Love this post and love that one of your answers was “stare at the computer screen” – HAHA! Here are 5 things in my bag:
1) Shawl
2) KIND Bar
3) Wallet
4) Sunglasses
5) Camera
Thanks for sharing!
I saw this on Emily’s blog too and loved it, glad you decided to do one too π I have always dreamed of visiting India too, hopefully one day I will be able to. Glad both breakfast and avocado were on your food list, I adore both! You really made me giggle with the fork in your bag π
I LOVE SOURDOUGH, so that Ethiopian food looks fantastic! I totally have a fork in my bag too, and a spoon. π
Great looking sourdough!
Yum – Ethiopian food!! I went to a restaurant in Indianapolis and it was a GIANT plate of food for us all to share and scoop up with that bread. So good. And I’ve been obsessed with popcorn since … well, it’s been a life-long obsession. I should have added that to the guilty pleasure food list. Popcorn soaked in that “butter” they have at the movies.
Yep, giant plate of food was what my friend and I shared–but we scarfed without even sort of thinking about taking a picture. By the time I thought of the camera I was back at home with nothing but a box of leftover injera π I guess that just means I have to go back…Seriously dangerous how close I live to the place. Oooo, and what about “Smart Pop”–the white “cheese” coated stuff that was absolutely not Smart? Used to love that as a guilty pleasure. Luckily stove-popped popcorn has nothing guilty about it, just pleasure!
I don’t remember that, but I remember the popcorn that when it was popped the “butter” was colored and you could have all kinds of different colors. Talk about fun!
