A gorgeous Sunday followed by a stressful day Monday leads to a lazy Tuesday Tries. You know I’m lacking in blogging oomph when my posts degenerate into lists only…
I tried posting yesterday.
But was trapped at the most terrifying “Motivational Seminar” imaginable. Am I the only one scared by dark arenas, lots of people and crowd mentality led by smooth talkers?
I tried to go on a photo shoot.
I got my new camera! And had the fabulous idea to go to the park with it. But it was cold, so I took this picture of a flower that is much tougher than me, and then left.
I tried to make normal-sized pancakes.
That’s a lie, I didn’t even try. Giant buckwheat pancake for the win! And the simplest buckwheat pancake recipe (left out the sugar since this was smothered in maple syrup shortly after the photo shoot).
I tried to relax.
And most certainly accomplished that mission. Cold mornings, but gorgeous clear blue days that were perfect for laying in the park and reading. Or doing cartwheels and then laying in the grass and reading. So check out book review #1 and book review #2.
I like your picture! That weedy flower is pretty.
I’m glad you got your camera!
Yay for getting a new camera! It’s freezing here too. I’ve been avoiding going outside for now.
Giant sized pancakes are much more fun than normal ones. Except when it comes to flipping, I suppose.
This one was surprisingly easy to flip! But some of my attempts at giant oatmeal-banana pancakes have resulted in piles of half-cooked batter. That is not a complaint, though. Piles of half-cooked batter are deliciously amazing.
Haha, I am sure that giant pancake is much better than the normal-sized one π
Motivational seminars are always terrible…and very unmotivating π
Now I am trying to imagine how I am lying in the park and reading, in those 2 degrees Celsius that are outside π
Lots of layers, haha. And giant pancakes definitely taste better than the small version of the same thing π
I need some pancakes in my life right about now. I’m out of eggs though…maybe I’ll just eat bread with syrup instead.
Ohh, egg-less pancakes are the easiest things in the world to make! Although, bread in syrup sounds pretty amazing…as does anything in syrup.
Hahaha how the heck did you flip a pancake that giant?!?!
And motivation seminars freak me out.
Skills, I tell ya π And glad I’m not the only one.
That pancake looks normal size to me!
Yay for getting a new camera! I am enjoying the size of that pancake haha π
Mmm, giant pancakes. YAY for new cameras! boo to weirdo motivational seminars…
I am with ya on smooth talkers and dimly lit arena…they’re just plain suspicious. And might I add a tad creepy?!
Definitely on the side of creepy…I felt like I was in a cave of manipulation…
Yay for relaxing & new cameras π and pancakes!
Hahaha. Love that you didn’t even try to make little pancakes. I find that when I make protein pancakes and make them normal sized, they’re all gone by the time I get to the last one, so a gigantic size isn’t a bad idea π
Exactly, it’s the same amount of pancake anyway, might as well make it ridiculously large in the meantime π
I have never been to a motivational seminar but they sound horrifying! Maybe they’re an American thing? Or maybe it’s because I am yet to enter the world of work..
Beautiful picture, even if you were cold :]
Hmm, I have a feeling they can be found around the world, but I’d heard of them before entering the working world, so I don’t know. If you do happen to hear of one–fair warning, stay away π
Ooh, that seminar sounds scary! I wouldn’t have enjoyed it either… we’ve been having the freezing mornings and blue days too; weird trans-Atlantic parallel weather going on π
At least it’s a good parallel! In terms of sunny and blue, that is. I could do with a little less cold…
Ha! That’s awesome that something that was supposed to be motivational ended up being terrifying.
Definitely missed the mark. Unless the goal was to motivate me to never go to another motivational seminar?
