Well this makes five posts this week. Aren’t I prolific? Five Things, Five Tries, Five Meals, Five Drinks and now…
Five To-Dos for Friday
Who doesn’t love a good to-do list?
1. Make breakfast. Y’all (and I don’t use y’all lightly), y’all listen up–this is the most amazing thing ever. I took my regular brancake breakfast, randomly added raisins…and ended up with a giant, hot, crispy-edged pan-sized oatmeal raisin cookie. For breakfast.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Brancake
- 1/3 C oat bran
- 2 rounded T protein powder (or flour) (If you use unsweetened powder/flour, you’ll have to add in a hint of sweetener somewhere along the line)
- 1t baking powder (optional)
- Generous sprinkles of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
- 1/3 c Almond (or other) milk
- 1/3 c raisins (or more or less, to taste)
- 1T coconut oil
Mix everything together and let it sit for a moment, while you heat coconut oil in a pan. Pour mixture into pan, spread lightly, wait, flip (it might get a little messy here), wait, and serve yourself a giant healthy cookie for one!
2. Plant seeds. It rained last night–so it’s time to get planting! I have beet, bean and corn seeds ready to go. (I’ll be planting more–these are just a start).
3. Prime a wall. The dried-blood dark red wall in my bedroom? I have reached a breaking point, and it has got to go, regardless of its position on my overall fix-up-the-house list. I will take an ugly, splotchy primer-ed wall over this wall of doom any day.
4. Watch a crappy movie. A new Jason Statham movie comes out tonight. Perfect timing for an evening of bad action, friends who love bad action and sneaking food into the theater (come now, who doesn’t do this?).
5. Relax. Because it’s Friday!
What do you have to get done today?
That breakfast! Talk about something delicious and awesome to look forward to in the morning! 😀
Hope you have a nice and relaxing weekend friend!
I’m starting to feel the same way about my kermit the frog green walls in the bathroom. It’s exhausting!
Enjoy your Friday! It sounds awesome!
Haha I love to-do lists. They make me happy 🙂
Yummm your breakfast sounds tasty!!! I’m totally going to watch a lame movie and/or some crappy tv tonight 😉
That brancake sounds Excellent!! So ready for it to be the weekend and I don’t even work! Have a great Weekend, Allie!!
Mmm that breakfast does sound good! I have all the ingredients on hand too… how convenient 🙂
Yumm, that breakfast really looks great! Unfortunately I’m out of oat bran at the moment, but as soon as I get more I’m going to try this out!
I need to try that breakfast when I’m back home! My to-do for Friday was to make the most if my day…it’s not every day that I’m in Singapore!
I knew I’d like the brancake when I first saw the picture – now I know I know!
That wall doesn’t sound good, some people have weird taste 🙂
I had loads to do yesterday but got just about all of it done – so a chilled day today…
Now I want to add “watch crappy movie” instead of going to my Jane Austen history of England class!
Your breakfast looks so good, I want to eat a cookie for breakfast! I love that you’re planting away, it’s exciting to watch things grow, I might try my hand at it when I’m home next year 🙂 Hope you had a lovely weekend!
Today, I am going on a bike ride with my pops, relaxing (and reading- something NOT for school!)
Are you kidding me? I am the queen of sneaking food into everywhere. In the summer I bring a big ziploc filled with ice to the yogurt store, put my yogurt in the ziploc, ziploc in purse, purse into the movies and there you have it.
